And just like that [Sale Madness]

We learned about this sale:

We went to this sale just to see if we can buy something. We were thinking of getting kitchen utensils, storage box, bathroom supplies and other little home details.

But we were surprised to find a lot of items being sold here. And just like that... we were able to buy some essential furniture already:

1. Display Cabinet for the Living room
50% Off (Orig Price Php 3,000 so we got this for P1,500 only)

2. BED! And just like that again... we have a bed.

This is a Queen Size Bed for P12,800 from Dewfoam. It's on 30% off. I believe that this is a good deal already because we always check bed from different stores and we saw that P20,000 is already cheap for good quality beds.

We bought a Spring Bed type or those bed  that have a support at the bottom. They said that this is better than just having a mattress alone. The head board also matches our Earth colors theme.

There are also Sofa sets in the sale but because we are not sure with the actual dimensions of the living room we can't buy any.

Here are the other home stuff that we bought:

1. Woodlike Curtain Rod @ P140.00. We bought two for the windows in the Masters Bedroom.

2. Clear Pitchers for P299.75 Buy 1 Take 1

3. 4PC Bedsheets  for Queen Size Bed
P385 from Linen House. Cheap because it's not cotton.
          P1,800 from Akemi
          P2,250 from Akemi

It's better to invest more in the Bed and it's accessories because this is where one looks for ultimate comfort. :)

4. Towels for P150.00 each (at 50% off).

5. Rice Bowl at P99.00

6. Rags! Prices at 99.00 and 25.00 respectively. :)

Three things:
1. Having a set theme beforehand really helped
2. You must always bring the floor plan for the exact dimensions
3. It's good to plan furnishing every 4th quarter of the year because you know there will be Sales here and there. :)

Next up, SM Advantage Thanksgiving One Day Sale!

Theme

We want to have a very cozy and homey place that's why we have agreed that we'll get more Earth colors. Brown and light colors will be our theme. Our floor would be Wood Planks (not yet decided on the actual type of floor) and our furniture would have a touch of brown or cool Earth colors on it. Not yet sure about Wall Painting.

Of course, setting a theme is the first step to any construction, furnishing of a home or even a small space. Our potential architects always ask this first before any question. This will also help as you will have a guide to anything that you will do or come across with. Example, if you happen to pass by a sale, you would have an idea of what you would like because you have a theme already.

Bank Loan Trial # 1

My first loan application is on BDO.

Why? They find ways. And they have a promo.

Their 24 months and 36 months terms interest rates are on promo: 24 months from 1.25% to 0.99% and 36 months from 1.25% to 1.20%

Promo runs until January 15, 2013. And the minimum loan amount should be 50,000.

This is my first time to loan in a bank. Ever.

I am surprised that their requirements are easy. Easier than NBI clearance. Just submit one valid ID, payslips and ITR (for working). If you don't have ITR, just give them a Certificate of Employment.

I submitted my Application form last week and I was told to follow up next week. Haven't tried applying for a loan in any other banks, though. Hoping BDO will find ways for me.

PS. Blogs look boring without pictures. I will just post a picture of a happy girl next week if my loan got approved. :-D

Outline.

After turnover, the next step is furnishing.

Good thing the condo does not set any deadline for the units to be furnished. Although of course, we want it to be furnished as soon as possible because we will be paying for the necessary fees already like the assocation dues, regardless if we have moved in or not.

This furnishing will not be that easy because the unit is really bare. Bare as in no tiles, first-coated walls only, no dividers, etc. Then of course, you'll have the built-in cabinets, kitchen, furniture and appliances.

So I guess I also have to include my bank loan progress here. :D

And because we'll start meeting with potential architects and contractors, we visited the unit yesterday to take measurements and try to visualize the layout by tracing chalks. Yes, like kids drawing at the floor. :) I don't know if that's the usual thing to do but it really helped us a lot in deciding the final layout because we can visualize how it would really look like and if it could fit or not.

This will be the space for his office.

Drew the kitchen and dining table. And the picture above is supposed to be a dining set. :))

We already saw the table and chair set that we want for the balcony. We just need to measure if it could perfectly fit here.

Our plan is to show these traces to our architect so that he/she can easily do the formal plan needed. By the way, the building admin requires formal plan from an architect before the furnishing starts so really, we have to do this. :S

Baby's naked pictures

Somewhere up there. :)

How it looks from the front door.

The space for master bedroom. Ooh windows. I'm excited to buy curtains for you!

Balcony. We're thinking of a garden-type balcony. :)

Our future everyday view. ♥

Davao Trip

Itinerary

First Baby

This blog is actually dedicated to our very first baby. This will document how we are going to dress her up step-by-step.

She has been in her Daddy’s womb for almost 2 years. And yes, he’s the one suffering the labor pains aka downpayment. :p

Mommy is in-charge of dressing her up and making her pretty.

And we finally met her last week already:

She is delivered to us bare and naked. But there are already completed pieces of her like the balcony and C.R. The main door and windows are provided too.

Now, the next steps include getting a loan to fully dress her up and deciding on each and every - even the littlest - part of her.

Naked pictures of her to follow. :)
